BRISTOL - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Sunrise Baptist Church, 2320 Hwy 343, Church Point, LA for Mr. Jerome “Boobie” Lazaro, 57, who entered eternal rest on Monday, July 15, 2019 at his sister’s residence in Church Point, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Carlton Carter, Pastor of Sunrise Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service. Mr. Lazaro leaves to cherish his memories: his companion of 15 years, Cheryl Harmon of Church Point, LA; step mother, Mary Lee Angelle; ten daughters, Melissa Fontenot of Ville Platte, LA, Nicole Turner of Lake Charles, LA, Kaylin Dugas of Rayne, LA, Latisha Harmon of Church Point, LA, Treona Dugas of Rayne, LA, Sharome Lazaro of Franklin, LA, Diamond Turner of Church Point, LA, Lenescia Girouard, Jalescia Girouard and Brittani Harmon, all of Lafayette, LA; four sons, Issac (Nicole) Dugas of Rayne, LA, Allen Jay Girouard of Lafayette, LA, Eric St. Julien of Church Point, LA and Charles Harmon, Jr. of Lafayette, LA; 36 grandchildren; 4 God kids; eight brothers, Lawrence (Patricia) Angelle; James Angelle, Chris Angelle (Felicia), Larry Angelle (Barbara), Anthony (Anita) Jones, Joseph Angelle, Damien Rayon and Michael Lazaro; ten sisters, Mary L. Lazaro, Leola Chachere, Shirley (Joseph) Rogers, Arlene (Floyd) Angelle, Flourien Guidry Angelle, Tiffany Angelle (Daniel) Savoy, Katina Angelle (Jesse), Danielle Angelle (Noris) Cesar, Tasha Angelle (Brent) Butler and Logan Angelle (Marcus) Gardiner; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Lazaro was preceded in death by: his mother, Enola Lazaro Carter and his father, Joseph J.D. Angelle; step father, Lawrence “Pop” Carter; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; God mother; two sisters; one brother; two grandkids; God father; and many other loved ones. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Sunrise Baptist Church.
