OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Community Chapel Church of God in Christ, located at 1606 S. College Ave in Opelousas, LA for Mr. John Landry, 87, who passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 in Ville Platte, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Pastor Leo Franklin, III will be officiating the funeral services. Mr. Landry’s memories are being cherished by: his loving wife of 44 years, Dolores Landry of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Calvin Landry (JoAnn) and John Sherman Landry (Martha) both of Houston, TX; one daughter, Deborah Adams of Houston, TX; one sister, Norma Potier of Houston, TX; special sister-in-law, Mary Landry of Houston, TX; a great friend, Linda Allen of Opelousas, LA; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reynard and Angelina Landry; one brother, James Landry and one sister, Irma Landry. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God in Christ.
