MELVILLE –Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at True Light Baptist Church, located at 4441 Highway 360, Melville, LA for Mr. Johnnie Lee Carry, 69, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at his residence in Melville, LA. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
Mr. Carry’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Mona Mason Carry of Melville, LA; one son, Lee Greene of Mamou, LA; three daughters, Laquita Smith Goudeau (Marcus) and Mercedes Smith, both of Opelousas, LA, and Tanya Jones of Fort Worth, TX; three stepsons, Derrian, DaMarcus and Rickey Kimble, all of Melville, LA; one brother, Willie (Virginia) of Shreveport, LA; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Wilbert Dixon, Sr. and Ella Carry; one son, James Richardson; and one daughter, Johnette Carry; two brothers, Wilbert Dixon, Jr and Matthew Dixon; and three sisters, Geraldine Carry, Willie Mae Carry, and Mary Dixon.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at True Light Baptist Church in Melville, LA.
