OPELOUSAS - Visitation service will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Junius Jones, affectionately known as “Sonny Boy”, 72, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Jones memories are being cherished by: his wife, Jeanette Thomas Jones of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Terence Jones of Opelousas, LA and Junice Jones; three daughters, Ronesha Thomas (Devan Baldwin) of Houston, TX, Tiffany Washington and Lyndsey Thomas; three brothers, Leroy (Elaine) Jones of Crowley, LA, Arthur Jones of Houston, TX and Roger (Debra) Jones of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Edna Joubert (Johnny) of Dayton, TX, Patsy Thomas (Henry Johnson) of Opelousas, LA, Debra Harrison (Oscar Harrison) of Zachary, LA and Edna Malveaux (Lionel Malveaux) of Missour City, TX; nine grandchildren, Raeyala Jones, Ricky Jones, Raylin Jones, Johntreal Felix, Joslynn, Jashira, Jordyn, Joshua, and Jariel; one great grandchild, Rakayla Jones; five Godchildren, Renee Jones-Robinson, O’Brien Thomas, Heather Johnson, Keenan Thomas and Morris Zachary; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Cornelius Jones and Ada Madeline Toussaint Jones; five brothers, Herman Jones, Lawrence Jones, James Jones, Clarence Thomas and Raymond Jones; and three sisters, Alice Jones, Gloria Mae Jones and Cynthia Thomas.
