OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at First Benjamin Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Kay Allen Rose, affectionately known by his family and friends as “King Size”, 70, who entered eternal rest on Friday, July 25, 2025 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be held in True Vine Baptist Church Cemetery in Grand Prairie, LA.
Rev. Albert Tezeno, Pastor of First Benjamin Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Rose’s memories are being cherished by: his spouse, Cynthia Rose of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Quaashie (Shanika) Rose of Junction City, KS and Rashad (Tara) Rose of Belton, TX; two brothers, Calvin Rose of Opelousas, LA and Raynerd Rose of Baton Rouge, LA; two sisters, Betty Pipkins of Dallas, TX and Lou Rose of Opelousas, LA; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Aaron Rose, Sr. and Vinder Celestine Rose; three brothers, Eugene Rose, Harry James Rose and Aaron Rose, Jr.; two sisters, Dorothy Rose and Leona Rose; and his mother-in-law, Geraldine Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at First Benjamin Baptist Church.
