Obituary For Keenan Banks

CROWLEY – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Holy Temple Church of Deliverance in Crowley, LA for Mr. Keenan Wayne Bolden, 63, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in San Antonio, TX. Interment will be in West Crowley Cemetery.

Bishop Brian Minix, Sr., Pastor of Holy Temple Church of Deliverance, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Banks’ memories are being cherished by: one brother, Tyrone Banks (Frederica) of Broussard, LA; one uncle, Brian Bates (Charlene) of Houston, TX; three aunts, Bettye Allen of San Pablo, CA, Florence Brown (Dewayne) of Dallas, TX and Linda Bates of Lafayette, LA; one nephew, Dantonio Banks (Ke’era) of Sunset, LA; two nieces, Laura-Brooke Banks of Broussard, LA and Brihanna Banks of Roanoke, LA; one godmother, Dorothy Eaglin of Crowley, LA; his companion of over 15 years, Susan Cyphers of San Antonio, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Banks is preceded in death by: his father, Ernest Banks; his mother, Laura Bell Banks; his brother, Cornel Banks; his maternal grandparents: Isaac Bates, Sr. and Freeda Bates Larry; his paternal grandparents: Marshal Roy and Viola Williams Roy; his step grandmother: Laura Morgan Bates; five uncles: Isaac Bates, Jr., Reyna Bates Sr., Freddie Williams, Joseph (Boogie) Charles, and Percy (Bobby) Bates, Sr.; two aunts: Audrey Hawkins and Mary Lou Pettaway.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Holy Temple Church of Deliverance in Crowley, LA.
