A Celebration of the Life of Mr. Kenneth Ray Spurlock will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. At Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
Kenneth Ray Spurlock was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 8:07 pm. He was born October 27, 1959 in Pineville, Louisiana. His parents preceded him in death. Ray graduated from Morrow High School, Morrow, Louisiana. He also attended Southern University and A&M College, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ray was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Isaac Fontenot, Jr. and was a member of the Plymouth Rock Missionary Baptist Church. Ray was employed for Marco Mills in Lemoyen for several years. He also was a baker at Atwood Bakery in Alexandria, Louisiana. Ray enjoyed cooking, fishing, and liked for things to be neat and organized. Ray leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Jeremy “Boo Coo” Pradia (Tasheta) of Beaumont, Texas.; six grandchildren—Jeremy, Jr, Jerrell, Jaylon, Micah, Joshua, and Josiah; one devoted twin sister, Karen Gaye Spurlock of Morrow, Louisiana; a nephew, Kory Spurlock, and niece, Kourtney Spurlock; a special aunt, Julie Auzenne; and a host of special cousins, great nephew and niece, uncles and aunts, friends, and constituents.
