LEBEAU β A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 103 Lebeau Church Rd., Lebeau, LA, at 10:00 a.m. for Mr. Larry Charles, Sr., 65, who entered eternal rest on Monday, July 30, 2024 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Father Henry Anthony will celebrate the Mass.
Mr. Charlesβ memories are being cherished by: his loving wife of 45 years, Martha Charles of Palmetto, LA; five brothers, Arthur (Erma) Charles, Jr. of Opelousas, LA, Joseph (Geneve) Charles, Warren Charles, Bobby (Tassa) Charles and Rev. Edward (Lisa) Charles, all of Garland, LA; four sisters, Willie Mae McBride (Jessie) and Peggy Ann Arvie (Lester), both of Houston, TX, Abbie Gail Smith of Garland, LA and Libby Kay (Randall) Crump of Bastrop, LA; one grandson, Taylin Joseph and one granddaughter, Lakayla Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Arthur and Libby Vallien Charles, Sr.; his son, Larry Charles, Jr.; and father-in-law, Marvin Dumes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:15 a.m.
Active Pallbearers will be Charles Edwards, III, Daniel Charles, Andre Brown, Kirsten Johnson, Bobby Charles and Isaiah Charles. Honorary Pallbearers will be Arthur Charles, Joseph Charles, Warren Charles, Edward Charles, Joe Pete, Herbert Lee Fontenot, Abram Wells, John Davis, Eugene Cane and Anthony Davis.
