VILLE PLATTE - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Antioch Baptist Church, 203 E. Lincoln Rd., Ville Platte, LA for Ms. Leatrice Charles, 92, who entered eternal rest on Monday, September 2, 2019 at her residence in Ville Platte, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Rev. Eradley Ben, Sr., Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service. Ms. Charles leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Closton Melvin (Jerrylene) and Alvin Richard Charles (Sylvia), both of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Barbara Robert (Jimmy) and Doris Ann Charles, both of Ville Platte, LA; one sister, Lou Anna Thomas (Walter) of Beaumont, TX; 23 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren; 41 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ms. Charles was preceded in death by: her parents, Jeffery Charles and Theresa Joseph Frank; step father, Prosper Frank; four children, Percy Wilson, Jr., Issac Arclese, Doris Lee Alison and Marlene Alison; two brothers, Prosper Frank, Jr. and Preston Frank; one step brother, Louis Frank; two grandchildren, Marie Thibodeaux and Fraizer Charles; and two great grandchildren, Lannis Melvin and Willie Melvin. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church.
