Obituary For Leonce "Joe" Cretain, Jr.
OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Leonce "Joe" Cretain, Jr., 70, who entered eternal rest on Friday, October 27, 2023 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be at the Greater Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Raymond Scott, Pastor of Old Fashion Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Cretain’s memories are being cherished by: his stepfather, Rev. Carey Moses of Opelousas, LA; maternal aunt, Josephine Larkins of Rosharon, TX; one brother, Ambus Wayne (Denessa) Moses of Ft. Washington, MD; one nephew, Leonce Moses of Ft. Washington, MD; one niece, Licia Jones (Justin) of Upper Marlboro, MD; one great nephew, Isaiah Williams of Upper Marlboro, MD; and a host of relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leonce Joe Cretain, Sr. and his mother, Mary (Davis) Moses.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
