Obituary For Leroy Fontenot, Jr.
LAWTELL – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA for Mr. Leroy Fontenot, Sr., 75, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at his residence in Church Point, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Fr. Stanley Jawa will be celebrate the mass.
Mr. Fontenot’s memories are being cherished by: his loving and devoted spouse of 54 years, Elizabeth Fontenot of Church Point, LA; two sons, Leroy (Mary) Fontenot, Jr. of Opelousas, LA and George Fontenot of Church Point, LA; two daughters, Lacreasia Boudreaux of Opelousas, LA and Shalanda Fontenot of Sunset, LA; five brothers, Lawrence Fontenot, Steven Fontenot and Jessie Fontenot, all of Lafayette, LA, Elton Moore of Texas and McKinley Moore of Welsh, LA; five sisters, Anna Fontenot of Lafayette, LA, Alice Moore, Norma Fontenot, Dianne Moore and Florence Moore, all of Welsh, LA; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, George Fontenot and Alice Chavis Moore; one brother, Sam Fontenot; and two sisters, Sophia Edmond and Lorraine Moore.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
