Obituary For Leslie Sam

OPELOUSAS – Memorial service will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Leslie J. “Gobie” Sam, 47, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Mr. Sam leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Lestriante Sam, Le’Dedric Lazard and Kellion Fontenot, all of Opelousas, LA; three daughters, Leslie Rose, Neisha Renee and Layana Nicole Sam, all of Opelousas, LA; five brothers, Joseph (Lillie) Richard, Tony Sam, Willie Sam, Leslie Thomas and Vernon Pitts, all of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Alonda Sam and Cynthia Rubin, both of Opelousas, LA and Vanessa Sam of Atlanta, GA; two special friends, Fredrick Ford and Travis Broussard, both of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Shaprella Hunt Sam; his parents, Leslie White and Mary Sam; and maternal grandparents, Joseph Sam and Mary Collins.
