MRS. LILLIAN LOU JOUBERT-STEWART
PLAISANCE β Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Plaisance, LA for Mrs. Lillian Joubert-Stewart, 88, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Rev. Jason Rubin, Pastor of St. Mark Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Lillianβs memories are being cherished by: her two sons, Ronald K. Joubert of North Dakota and Al Kurt Joubert of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Katherine A. Joubert and Sandy Bell (Ricky), both of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Hubert (Natalie) Jackson of Katy, TX; two sisters, Loreatha Del LeDay and Rev. Ollie Mae Jackson, both of Plaisance, LA; one brother-in-law, Clifton Augustine, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; five grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Earmison Joubert; second husband, Ernest Stewart; one son, Kenneth W. Joubert; one grandson, Bryant J. Joubert; her parents, Lawrence and Lillian Thomas Jackson; ten brothers, Clarence Jackson, Abraham Jackson, Henry Ford Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Lawrence Jackson, Jr., Lee Huey Jackson, Lee Felton Jackson, Marion βMelβ Jackson, Dr. Irving Veazie and Kirby Veazie; five sisters, Laura Mae Fountain, Maudry Nel Darjean; Mary Jackson, Elinor Garrett and Brander Gail Jackson-Augustine; and eight sisters-in-law, Annette Joubert, Ester Lee Jones, Mary Ann Jackson, Ylenne Veazie, Lillie Mae Veazie, Ruthie Jackson, Geraldine Veazie and Beatrice Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.
