OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Linda Rose Robinson Fontenot, 67, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Rev. Eric Dupre, Pastor of Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mrs. Fontenot’s memories are being cherished by: her two sons, Miguel (Jessica) Fontenot of Opelousas, LA and Otis (Sheila) Fontenot of Lafayette, LA; her daughter, Shondra Fontenot Pickney (Joseph) of Palmetto, LA; six brothers, Willrey (Shirley) Robinson, Jr., Shawn Kevin Robinson, Fabian Mitchell, Derrick (Lucinda) Mitchell and Erick Mitchell, all of Washington, LA and Don Robinson of Lake Charles, LA; two sisters, Jacqulyn Charles (David) of Opelousas, LA and Meredith Mitchell of Grand Coteau, LA; paternal aunts, Mary Robinson and Savannah Greer, both of Washington, LA; maternal aunts, Majorie Johnson (James) and Dixie Wilson (Larry), both of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Willrey Robinson, Sr. and Mary Harrison Robinson; one brother, Darrell Robinson; three sisters, Earma Robinson, Marsha and Monica Robinson; one grandchild, Jazmin Pickney; and grandparents, Henry “Big Pop” Robinson and Teenie “Big Mama” Offord Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church.
