OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Mae Hilda Jack, 69, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, will be officiating the funeral service.
Ms. Jack’s memories are being cherished by: the love of her life, James Jason of Opelousas, LA; her daughter, Annette Fruge of Opelousas, LA; five step children, Kesha Shelvin, Chanetta Shelvin, Dyrreun Shelvin and Dyrrachium Shelvin, all of Houston, TX; one sister, Patsy Jack (Albert) of Opelousas, LA; three grandchildren, Bethaney Lewis (Jeremiah) of Opelousas, LA, Quentin (Crystal) LeDay of Covington, LA and John LeDay, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Lucius and Hilda Freeman Jack; siblings, Robert Jack, Louis Jack, Sr. and Laura Serie; and step daughter, Tonia Narcisse.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
