OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Mohorn Baptist Church, 219 Cosay Rd., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Manny Goodwill, Jr., 68, who entered eternal rest on Monday, February 23, 2026 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
Rev. Nicholas Thomas, Sr. will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Goodwill’s memories are being cherished by: one son, Mario (Kaleisha) Richard of Zachary, LA; two daughters, Shannon Goodwill and Angel Jolivette, both of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Charles “Coonie” Goodwill of Opelousas, LA, Clyde Goodwill of Beaumont, TX and Raymond (Beverly) Goodwill of New Orleans, LA; five sisters, Earsie Lee Green and Alice LeBlanc, both of Beaumont, TX, Mary Manick (Robert) of Los Angeles, CA, Geraldine Goodwill of Rochester, NY and Priscilla Edmond (Daryl) of Houston, TX; five grandchildren, Anastasia and Tiasia John, Acelynn, Paris and Zyria Palmer, all of Opelousas, LA; three great grandchildren, Hunter Chevis and Javion Archangel, both of Opelousas, LA and Kayla Fontenot of Katy, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Manny Goodwill, Sr. and Annabell Sam Goodwill; four brothers, RB Goodwill, Lloyd Goodwill, Percy Goodwill and Clarence Goodwill; and two sisters, Jessie Eubanks and Irene Goodwill.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Mohorn Baptist Church.

The Stevens family wishes to offer our deepest sympathy to the Goodwill family at this time for their loss. Manny Goodwill Jr. was an elementary school classmate of mine @Plaisance Elementary School (1963-1967). A memory of a quiet and mild spirited young man.
