OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Our Saviors Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Marcus Wayne Brown, 45, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 23, 2020 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in the Bellevue Community.
Pastor Dwayne Edward Norman will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Brown leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Sandra Chachere Brown (Donald) of Opelousas, LA and his father, Jerome Roger Brown, Sr. of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, John Derrick Brown and Morgan Brown, both of Opelousas, LA; three sisters, Brittany Babino (Issac) and Megan Brown, both of Opelousas, LA and Jaquira Brown of Scott, LA; paternal grandmother, Eunice Brown of Opelousas, LA; paternal aunt, Jennifer Ellis of Pearland, TX; paternal uncles, Eddie Brown (Vera) and John G. (Leslie) Brown, both of Opelousas, LA; maternal uncles, Robert Lee Chachere (Janie) and John Lee Chachere, both of Opelousas, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his brother, Jerome “Baby” Brown, Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Dimus and Elvina Chachere; paternal grandfather, Roger Joseph Brown; and maternal uncles, Joseph Chachere and Rickey Paul Chachere.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Our Saviors Church.

Marcus was the cutest little kid with those long curly locks. He and Baby were so cute together and loved riding around with their dad. He grew to be so handsome. I am so sad. Joe and I have continued to pray for strength and comfort for you all. The Patins
