Obituary For Mary Allen

LAWTELL – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA for Mrs. Mary Allen, 88, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Fr. Jawa Stanley, S.V.D. will be celebrate the mass.

Mrs. Allen’s memories are being cherished by: her six sons, Alvin (Shirley) Lavergne of Carencro, LA, Wilman (Myra) Lavergne, Jr. of Swords, LA, Larry (Gustavia) Lavergne of Lake Charles, LA, Terry (Laura) Lavergne of New Iberia, LA, Murill (Margaret) Lavergne of Mallet, LA and Dale Lavergne of Monroe, LA; three brothers, Lincoln Guillory of New Iberia, LA, Kenneth Guillory of Opelousas, LA and Albert Guillory, Jr. of Lawtell, LA; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Edmond Allen, and first husband, Wilman Lavergne, Sr.; her parents, Nolan and Rita Gobert Guillory; twin son, Allen Lavergne; and two sisters, Linda Handy and Marjorie Rene’.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
