Obituary For McArthur Readoux

BUNKIE – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 3744 Hwy 1178, Bunkie, LA for Mr. McArthur Readoux, 82, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, LA. Interment will be held in First Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Bunkie, LA.

Bishop Melvin Jackson, Pastor of Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Readoux’s memories are being cherished by: his loving wife of 59 years, Archie Dean Readoux of Morrow, LA; two sons, McArthur (Gia) Readoux, II of Houston, TX and Kevin Ross (Cynthia) Wyatt of Rosharon, TX; one brother, Leroy Readoux of Lafayette, LA; two bonus brothers, Willie Brown, Sr. of Bunkie, LA and George L. Brown of Houston, TX; one sister, Lee Esther Wilkins (Eugene) of Houston, TX; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Readoux; one grandson, Keaton (Treykearra) Wyatt; two great grandsons, Keaton Wyatt and Kaleb Wyatt; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: Issac and Alice Jones Readoux, Sr.; one brother, Issac Readoux, Jr.; and three sisters, Ruby R. Ned, Daisy Davis and Pauline Readoux

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Little Rock Baptist Church.
