OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Michael Keith Moreau a/k/a “White Mike”, 48, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Opelousas General Health System. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in the Bellevue Community.
Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Moreau leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Linda Nicholas of Opelousas, LA; two sons, DeShawn Major and Ja’Michael Moreau, both of Opelousas, LA; three daughters, Deshia Major of Lafayette, LA, MyKaylan Pitre of Opelousas, LA and Jaliyah Moreau of Port Barre, LA; one brother Lee Herbert Moreau of Lafayette, LA; one sister, Ciji Bergeron of Opelousas, LA; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his father, Johnny James Moreau, Sr.; one son, Jamaican Major; one daughter, Ashley Moreau; two sisters, Michelle Thomas and Monica Bergeron; two brothers, Johnny James Moreau, Jr. and Herbert Hagan Bergeron; maternal grandparents, Yves and Clemmie Bergeron; and paternal grandparents, John and Myrtle Moreau.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Community Chapel C.O.G.I.C.
