OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at First Benjamin Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Michael Richard, Sr., 66, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Mickey”, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 15, 2023 at his residence in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Albert Tezeno and J. Tyrone Glover will be officiating the eulogy for the funeral service.

Mr. Richard’s memories are being cherished by: his mother, Beulah Glover of Opelousas, LA; three sons, Johnathan (Cherylynn) and Michael Richard, Jr., both of Opelousas, LA and Trey Michael Richard of Venice, LA; two daughters, Odelia Major of Opelousas, LA and Tiffany Levier of Beaumont, TX; four brothers, Robert (Ramona) Glover, John (Cookie)Vidito, Johnathan T. Glover and Christopher (Melissa) Richard, all of Opelousas, LA; five sisters, Paula Johnson (Leroy), Pamela Dodd, Angela Vidito (Robert) and Felicia Vidito (Peter), all of Opelousas, LA and Patricia Vidito of Lake Charles, LA; his Godchild, Dana Moreau of Opelousas, LA; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Joseph Glover and Sovelia Oville; his sister, Myra Richard; daughter, Ciji Bergeron; son, Michael Moreau; and great niece, Alexia Joubert.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at First Benjamin Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA.

The repass will be held at Tyrone Glover Community Center, 1112 N. Main St., Opelousas, LA 70570.
