OPELOUSAS – Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 for Mrs. Mildred Jean Richrad, 84, who passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Opelousas General Health System. Rev. Bonji Arvie, Pastor of St. James Baptist Church, will be officiating the memorial service.
Mrs. Richard’s memories are being cherished by: two sons, Peter Wilton Richard, Jr. (Abby) of Washington, LA and Ronald James Richard of Lafayette, LA; four daughters, Gladys Marie Kennerson (Joseph) and Mary Lorraine Richard-Williams (Darryl), both of Opelousas, LA, Mary Doreen Richard of Lafayette, LA and Theresa Earlene Richard of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; one brother, Joseph Clarence Ned (Yvette) of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Louise Marcel, Mary Cora Ned, Rose Ned Tyler and Mary Lee Ned, all of Opelousas, LA; lifelong friends, Mildred Kennerson of Leonville, LA and Marie Malveaux, both of Opelousas, LA; twelve grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by: her husband, Peter Wilton Richard, Sr.; her parents, George Ned, Jr. and Cora Lee Charles Ned; one daughter, Linda Marie Richard; two brothers, Clement Ned Sr. and John Alton Ned; and one sister, Viola Ned Johnson..
