Obituary For Ollie Gene Lavergne
OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Opelousas Family Worship Center, 386 Compress Rd., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Ollie Gene Lavergne, 73, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Bishop Albert Richard, Sr. will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Lavergne’s memories are being cherished by: his two sons, Reginald (Shawanna) Lavergne and Timothy Lavergne, both of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Vickie Lavergne of Opelousas, LA and Kimberly Moore (Samuel) of Lafayette, LA; one sister, Emma Lois Robert of Opelousas, LA; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Lula Mae Carmouche Lavergne; his parents, William Dennis Lavergne, Sr. and Louise Beverly Lavergne; four brothers, William Dennis Lavergne, Jr., Martin Lavergne, Walter Lavergne and Wilson Lavergne; and two sisters, Mary Ann Sam and Gloria Anderson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Opelousas Family Worship Center.
