Obituary For Ozie Felix, Sr.

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Ozie Felix, Sr., affectionately known by his family and friends as “Pete”, 75, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Albert Tezeno, Pastor of First Benjamin Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Felix’s memories are being cherished by: his significant other, Alice Johnson of Opelousas, LA; four sons, Kendrick (Tai Aisha) Felix and Ozie Felix, Jr., both of Phoenix, AZ, Joshua Lazard and Adrien Johnson, both of Opelousas, LA; two bonus sons, Dennis (Monica) and Jeremy (Aquanetta); one bonus daughter, Raven (Louis); two sisters, Lucy Lewis and Dorothy Lewis (Herbert), both of Opelousas, LA; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; former spouse, Shirley Felix of Phoenix, AZ; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Augustus and Sophie Lazard Felix, Sr.; one son, Antonio Felix; one daughter, Evette Felix; three brothers, Augustus Felix, Jr., Nathan J. Felix and Clifton Winbush, Jr.; and his brother-in-law, Charles Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
