OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Patricia Ann Simmons, 69, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Mrs. Simmon’s memories are being cherished by: her husband, Albert Simmons of Opelousas, LA; her father, Ashton Guidry of Opelousas, LA; three sons, Nathan (Dorothy) Boast, III of St. Paul, MN, Joshua Simmons and Cory (Yolanda) Simmons, both of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Mildred Boast (Randy) and Alisha Boast (Johnny Rogers), both of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Wayne Pierre of Sunset, LA; one sister, Katrina Lauden of Sunset, LA; eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her mother, Mary Alice Pierre; one son, Jawalka Simmons; two brothers, Morris Pierre, Jessie Pierre and Joseph Pierre; two sisters, Debra Pierre and Penny Pierre; her mother and father-in-law, Betty Simmons and Thomas Simmons, Sr.; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Simmons, Jr. and Ronna Simmons; and a nephew, Tharius Simmons.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
