OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Patsy A. Taylor, 79, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at her residence in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Taylor’s memories are being cherished by: her two daughters, Anastacia Syes of St. Louis, MO and Victoria Garner of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, Henry (Nicole) Butler, Jr. of Chicago, LA and Don (Johanna) Butler of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Jacqueline Lastrapes of Opelousas, LA and Ellen Ruth Butler of Riverside, CA; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Jeffery Leday; her parents, Henry and Ruby Nell Arvie Butler, Sr.; one son, Leo Santo N. Davis, Jr.; and one daughter, Juanita Marie Mitchell.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
