Obituary For Paul Ivory Johnson
OPELOUSAS โ Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Paul Ivory Johnson, 82, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be held in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Pastor Linton Broussard of Community Baptist Church will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Johnsonโs memories are being cherished by: his two daughters, Pamela Sims (Eric) of Cypress, TX and Joy Johnson of Lafayette, LA; two sisters, Rena Angelle (Leroy) of Plaisance, LA and Rose Jenkins (Bishop Thomas) of Jackson, Mississippi; three brothers, Amos (Deborah) Johnson, Jr. of Leonville, LA, Larry (Judy) Johnson of Eunice, LA and Harold (Angela) Johnson of Carencro, LA; eight grandchildren, Christopher Sims and Breanna Sims, Kalenicia Woods, Joycelyn Woods, Hezekiah Johnson, Ezekiel Johnson, Valentina Johnson and Isabella Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Dean Carmouche; his parents, Amos Johnson, Sr. and Florence Clark Johnson; and four sisters, Mary Jane Carmouche, Leola Thompson, Leona Angelle, and Catherine Brown.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ.
