Obituary For Paul Lewis

OPELOUSAS – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 1432 W. Landry Street, Opelousas, LA for Mr. Paul Lewis, 62, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at his residence in Opelousas. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D., will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mr. Lewis’ memories are being cherished by: three brothers, Michael Lewis, Ricky Lewis and David Lewis, all of Opelousas, LA; one sister, Rose Cowart of Opelousas, LA; bonus children, Louise Washington, Lauren Washington, Janine Williams-Smith, Corey Williams and Terri Elaine Crutcher; Goddaughter, Janell Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Jill and Alma G. Lewis; one brother, Ronald Lewis; two sisters, Betty Joseph and his twin Paulette Lewis; and a nephew, Kevin Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
