Obituary For Paulette Rideaux

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Paulette Rideaux, 62, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at her residence in Opelousas, LA.

Rev. Berthel Lewis will be officiating the funeral service.

Ms. Rideaux’s memories are being cherished by: one son, Edward Rideaux (Sarah) of Opelousas, LA; one daughter, Jill Rideaux of Opelousas, LA; her companion, Edward Groomes; four brothers, Michael Lewis, Ricky Lewis, David Lewis and her twin Paul Lewis, all of Opelousas, LA; one sister, Rose Cowart of Opelousas, LA; seven grandchildren, Kennedi Shine, Janyla Wright, Justin Wright, Aaron Rideaux, Robert Thomas, Jr., Anayah Rideaux and Aiden Rideaux; a lifelong friend, Melanie Shilo Prince; two Godchildren, Tai Prince and David Lewis, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ms. Lewis is preceded in death by: her parents, and Jill “Sugar Boy” Alma Gallow Lewis; one brother, Ronald Lewis; and one sister, Betty Joseph.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
