OPELOUSAS - Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, 1606 W. College Ave., Opelousas, LA for Mr. Qwan Anthony Thomas affectionately known as “Anthony”, 35, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at West Jefferson Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Frank L. Ford, Pastor of Community Chapel Church of God In Christ, assisted by Minister Arthur Ford, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his father, John (Nella) Edwards of Opelousas, LA and his mother, Lucy Thomas (Joseph Robicheaux) of Baytown, TX; his girlfriend, Michelle Marks of Port Barre, LA; special aunt, Mary Burleigh of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Joshua Edwards and LaDre Thomas, both of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Joan Louise Gauthier and Jasmine Edwards, both of Opelousas, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Josephine Thomas and Wilton Davis and his paternal grandparents, Rosalie and John B. Arthurlee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Community Chapel C.O.G.I.C.
