OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home of Opelousas, LA for Mr. Rikki James Rideaux, 42, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 31, 2024 in Baton Rouge, LA. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA.
Mr. Rideaux’s memories are being cherished by: his father, Closton Melvin of Plaisance, LA; one brother, William (Genita) Rideaux of Opelousas, LA; eight sisters, Mary Rideaux and Edna Rideaux (Leo), both of Opelousas, LA, Lisa Rideaux of Lafayette, LA, Sylvia Rideaux of DeRidder, LA, Judy Richard, Theresa Valmore, Julia Kelly and Angelica Nimer-Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his mother, Elizabeth Harrison Rideaux; two brothers, Charles Rideaux and Richard Rideaux, Jr.; and one sister, Annie Thibodaux.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.

Hey Big brother i love you and im going to miss you till the day i die. you broke your promise to me to told me you was never gon leave me and that Im your favorite sister which is probably be im your only little sister.. you were supposed to be my backbone just like when we first met in grade school when you and charles had to protect me from getting take advantage of. god put yall in the right place at the right time. Yall hearts are so BiG grow up to find out the strange boys who protected me at grade school are my older brothers in real life. We were all looking for our birth father and i help yall to find him.by finding my dad and introducing yall to him for him to help us find your dad just to learn closton melvin was yall dad too..!! what are the odds... GOD has a funny way of bringing ppl together.
