Obituary For Rita Citizen
OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Rita Citizen, 88, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Legacy Nursing Home in Plaquemine, LA.
Rev. Freddie Johnson will be officiating the funeral service.
Mrs. Citizen’s memories are being cherished by: her two sons, Timothy Citizen and Clarence Citizen, both of Whiteville, LA; one brother, Henry Site of Basile, LA; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Rodney Citizen, Sr.; her parents, Napoleon and Hazel Site; and her son, Rodney Citizen, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
