OPELOUSAS – Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Roderick D. Jones, Sr., 36, who entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Apostle Brenda Taylor of King of Glory Tabernacle will be officiating the memorial service. Mr. Jones leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Patricia Jones Brown of Lafayette, LA and his father, Carl Murphy Tezano of Angola, LA; his fiancée, Catina Gaines of Opelousas, LA; three sons, Braylon Jones, Roderick Jones, Jr. and Christopher Edwards, all of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Bri’Oshanay Jones and Nyla Jones, both of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Carl Wayne Tezano of Opelousas, LA; six sisters, Ebony Martin of Opelousas, LA, Carla Jones of Lafayette, LA, Samantha Coleman of Opelousas, LA, Schemeka Allison (Jeff) of Opelousas, LA, Christina Henry (Stewart) of Humble, TX and Tihechaca Culbert (Clarence) of Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his sister, Erica Jones and his God mother.
