Obituary For Ronald L. Brooks
SUNSET – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church in Sunset, LA for Mr. Ronald Lincoln Brooks, 71, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at his residence in Sunset, LA.
Rev. Jason Rubin, Pastor of Zion Travelers Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mr. Brooks memories are being cherished by: his wife, Meadowlark Mortishia Russell-Brooks of Sunset, LA; six sons, Timothy Faulk, Kevin Faulk and Ronderrick Faulk, all of Lafayette, LA, Keith Faulk and Christopher Journet, both of Sunset, LA and Rontrell Dean of Fort Worth, TX; five daughters, Clarissa Guilbeau Milton (Darrell) of Sunset, LA, Catherine Brooks and Donnettae Faulk, both of Lafayette, LA, Keara Russell of Houston, TX and Donna Journet of Grand Coteau, LA; two brothers, Harold Minix and Edward Minix, both of Tyler, TX; one sister, Sonia Lewis of Church Point, LA; twenty-one grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Ernest Minix and Eva Brooks; one son, Justin Dean; and one brother, Gerald Minix.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Zion Travelers Baptist Church.

So sorry for your loss, Mr.Ronald was the crossing guard for Truman, and I had the privilege to get acquainted with him. He never complained about the severity of his illness, he came to work every morning like nothing was wrong. He will be missed! Morning bus duty staff at Truman ECEC.
