CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley, LA for Mr. Samuel Dale Dejean, 63, who entered eternal rest on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Abbeville Hospital in Abbeville, LA. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley, LA.

Fr. Mark Odoguje will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mr. Dejean’s memories are being cherished: his spouse, Judith Victoria Dejean of Crowley, LA; one son, Bryce Dale Dejean of Iowa, LA; one daughter, Brittany Paige Dejean of Crowley, LA; four brothers, Bryan Steven (Orita) Dejean of Crowley, LA, Preston Dejean, III of Virginia Beach, VA, Preston D. (Tikesha) Hayes of Houston, TX and Truman (Tisha) Hayes of Lake Charles, LA; one sister, Prestly Hayes (Dalton) of Crowley, LA; three grandchildren, Lamijai Wilson, Brianna Wilson and Kayden Joseph, all of Crowley, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Preston and Rose Babineaux Dejean, Jr.; paternal grandparents; and maternal grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church.
