Obituary For Shanell "Monsey" Vallian

OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Shanell Vallian, affectionately known by her family and friends as “Monsey”, 34, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA.

Evangelist Janice Thibodeaux will be officiating the funeral service.

Monsey’s memories are being cherished by: her mother, Jessie Vallian of Opelousas, LA; one daughter, Kaleisaya Vallian of Opelousas, LA; three brothers, Tyrone Vallian and Brian Vallian, both of Opelousas, LA and Brandon (Belishia) Vallian of Sunset, LA; three sisters, Demesha Warner Purnell of Houston, TX, Scarlette Vallian and Crystal Joy Joseph, both of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Monsey is preceded in death by: her father, Louis Gabriel; maternal grandmother, Willie Mae Green; and her nephew, Jerome Savoy, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
