Obituary For Shilla Recard Armstead

LEBEAU – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 103 LeBeau Church Rd., for Mrs. Shilla Recard Armstead, 55, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Rev. James Fallon, SSJ will be officiating the funeral Mass.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories forever: her husband, Carlton Armstead; two daughters, Carlissa Armstead of LeMoyen, LA and Jasmine Armstead of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Darren McCray, Darshaun McCray, and Jacris Holloway all of Tampa, FL; three sisters, Cynthia Wyatt (Kevin) of Rosharon, TX, Stephanie Coleman (Sandy) and Shannon Mullen (Curtis) both of LeMoyen, LA; two brothers, Ernest (Katina) Recard, Jr. and Darrell (Earline) Recard both of LeMoyen, LA; an aunt raised as a sister, Betty Wright; God parents, Mary Jane Randall and Lanson Jimmerson, Jr.; one godson, Kenyon Randall; special family and friends: Sarita Chambers, Renee Bryant, Melinda Mitchell, Patricia Walker, Debra Clark, and Valjean Shaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and relatives and friends.

Shilla is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Jenny Wright Recard, Sr. and one sister, Gwendolyn Denise Recard.

The family will receive family and friends between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 10:45 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
