Obituary For Sterling Siverand, Jr.

MORROW – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Plymouth Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 162 Plymouth Rock Loop in Morrow, LA for Mr. Sterling Siverand, Jr., 91, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA. Interment will be in First Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in LeMoyen, LA.

Rev. Sammy David Siverand, Pastor of Agape Community Fellowship Church in Houston, TX, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Siverand’s memories are being cherished by: two sons, David Siverand of Morrow, LA and Gregory Mason of Lebeau, LA; four daughters, Linda Edwards, Jo Ann Malveaux and Pearlie Wright, all of Bunkie, LA and Elizabeth Lamb of Palmetto, LA; one brother, Wilbert (Ella) Siverand of Houston, TX; two sisters, Leola Block (James) and Gertrude Guillory (Herman), both of Lamarque, TX; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Sterling and Stella Fontenot Siverand, Sr.; one son, Sterling Siverand; one daughter, Betty Siverand; five brothers, Marion Siverand, Willie “Tut” Siverand, Willie Siverand, Elba “LB” Siverand and Leon Siverand; and two sisters, LouBertha Trent and Mary Louise Mullins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Plymouth Rock Missionary Baptist Church.
