Obituary For Tyrus Davis

PALMETTO – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, 132 Guidry Rd., Palmetto, LA for Mr. Tyrus Davis, 62, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 4, 2025 in Baton Rouge, LA. Interment will be held in the church cemetery in Palmetto, LA.

Pastor Darrell Sampson will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Davis’ memories are being cherished by: his wife, Melissa Ann Stelly-Davis of Palmetto, LA; three daughters, Brandi Davis, Tyria Davis and Sydney Davis, all of Baton Rouge, LA; four brothers, Judell (Rachel) Davis, Sr. of Pearland, TX, Belton Davis, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA, Terence (Ladean) Davis, Sr. of Ridgeland, TX and Lyell (Trinell) Davis, Sr.) of Atascocita, TX; three sisters, Dionicia Davis, Balva Davis and Lynetta Rahman (Omar), all of Baton Rouge, LA; one grandchild, Tahj Clark of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Barbara Philip Davis II and one brother, Leon Philip Davis, III.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at New Pilgrim Baptist Church.
