OPELOUSAS – A celebration of life will be held at from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Vincent Curtis Thomas, affectionately known by his family and friends as “Poppose”, 57, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at his residence in Washington, LA.

Mr. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Bridgette Augustine Thomas of Opelousas, LA; five sons, Keno (Erica) Jason, Shannon Chavis and Vincent Augustine, all of Opelousas, LA, Tevin Brooks of Sunset, LA and Curtis Chavis of Ohio; four daughters, Shumanda Jack-Folse (Charles) of Lake Charles, LA, Courtney of Grand Coteau, LA, Daisha Serie of Ville Platte, LA and Makalyn Savoy of Opelousas, LA; one step son, Rondale Augustine of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Liney “Popcorn” (Erica) Thomas and Joseph “Pizza Boy” Thomas, both of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Patricia Mcbride of Memphis, TX and Donna Vital of Texas; two uncles, Jack Coleman and Rico TroyThomas; three aunts, Jean Lois Thomas, Mary Lou Thomas and Sherell (Rayne) Scott; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph Mallet and Rosemary Thomas; uncles, John, Sr., Lewis, Gant, Joseph P., Joseph D. and Howard Thomas, Jr.; and aunts, Barbara Ann Thomas, Mary Ann Thomas and Catherine Rideaux Thomas.
