GRAND COTEAU – Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, LA for Ms. Viola Lewis, 69, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
Fr. Mark Kramer will be officiating the memorial service. Ms. Lewis was a member of Christ the King Church where she sang in the church choir.
Ms. Lewis leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Shannon Lewis (Curtis Davis, Sr.) of Sunset, LA; three brothers, Eugene (Marie) Malbreaux and Andrew (Gail) Malbreaux, Jr., both of Lake Charles, LA and Gerald (Sheila) Malbreaux of Bellevue, LA; two sisters, Cleola Duplechain and Carrie Malbreaux, both of Carencro, LA; four grandchildren, Ja’Dareion, Nathaniel, Jr., Kyia and Zaylen, all of Sunset, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Malbreaux, Sr. and Catherine Livings Malbreaux and three brothers, Hayward Malbreaux, Roosevelt Malbreaux and Chester Malbreaux.

Viola was a beautiful asset to Acadiana's Camp Bluebird & Lourdes. She was a beautiful, loving presence. So pretty & talented. Sorry I missed her funeral. Ellen
