CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Crowley, LA for Mrs. Wava Rogers, 98, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Crowley, LA. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley, LA.
Fr. Mark Odoguze will be officiating the funeral mass.
Mrs. Rogers’ memories are being cherished: her three daughters, Mary Ann Rogers, Shelia Mayfield and Carolyn DeVeaux, all of Crowley, LA; one sister, Blossum Lavallais of Port Arthur, TX; very very special grandsons, Louisiana State Trooper Shelby Mayfield of Baton Rouge, LA and Caregiver Larry Mayfield of Crowley, LA; three special nephews, Richard Lavallais of Dallas, TX, Anthony Lavallais of Huntsville, TX and Brian Keith Lavallais of Denton, TX; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Willie Rogers; her parents, Paul and Alice Rogers Charlot; one son, Curtis Edwards; one daughter, Alice Rogers; one brother, Paul Charlot, Jr.; and three grandsons, Shawn Rogers, Michael DeVeaux, II and Kalen Rogers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church.
