Obituary For Wilbert Henry

CROWLEY – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at St. Joseph Baptist Church in Crowley, LA for Mr. Wilbert Henry, 81, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley, LA.

Rev. Pernell Trent will officiate the funeral service.

Mr. Henry’s memories are being cherished by: his wife, Lillie Dixon Henry of Crowley, LA; three sons, Roger Henry of Crowley, LA, Sammy Henry of Richmond, TX and Spence (Vernice) Henry of Lafayette, LA; one daughter, Katie Thomas (Samuel) of Modesto, CA; three brothers, Robert Henry and Isaac Henry, both of Houston, TX and Michael Henry of Rayne, LA; two sisters, Martha Espree of Rayne, LA and Vernell Alexander of Houston, TX; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Marcellus and Rena Pierre Henry; two sons, Michael and Caril Henry; one brother, Marcellus Henry, Jr.; and two sisters, Lugenia Henry and Benolus Henry.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Baptist Church.
