Obituary For Willie Brown
OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Willie Beatrice Brown, 89, who entered eternal rest on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Opelousas General Health System. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Gerald Toussaint, Pastor of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she served as President of the Mission Department and as a Sunday School Teacher.
Mrs. Brown’s memories are being cherished by: four sons, Michael Roberts of Opelousas, LA, Floyd R. (Mary) Brown, Sr. and Patrick (Betty) Brown, both of Patterson, LA and Robert (Serena) Brown, Sr. of Houston, TX; one daughter, Bertha Robertson (Ronnie) of Lafayette, LA; eleven grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Jimmy Brown, Jr.; her parents, Robert and Alberta Lewis Roberts; and two sisters, Leola Roberts and Hazel Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the Staff of Prompt Succor Nursing Home and the Staff of Opelousas General Health System.

I couldn't have had a better mother in law. She was awesome and I am grateful for the few years I had with her. She did an awesome job raising her kids. She made sure they knew of God and had a relationship with him. Job well done Mama Brown! I'm going to miss the talks and how we use to cut-up! Watch over us and we will see you when we get there!
