OPELOUSAS – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Holy Ghost Parish Life Center in Opelousas, LA for Ms. Yolandra Aggison, 42, who entered eternal rest on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
Rev. Justin Arockiasamy, S.V.D., will be the celebrant at the Mass of Christian burial.
Ms. Aggison’s memories are being cherished by: her mother, Malanie Andrus of Opelousas, LA; two sons, Ke’Avontae Aggison and Nathan Crossley, both of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Ja’Liyah Crossley and Keyonda Thomas (Jacoby Simien), both of Opelousas, LA; one bonus son, Nay’Vi Smith of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Leonard Aggison of Opelousas, LA; four sisters, Monique Aggison, Shanice Aggison (John), Mary Andrus (Darrell) and Maketta Andrus, all of Opelousas, LA; a special friend, Donald Guilbeaux of Opelousas, LA; three grandchildren, Kealon Thomas, Key’Vonni Simien and Treasure’nae Journet, all of Opelousas, LA; one Godchild, Ja’Vontae Johnson of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her father, James Richardson; maternal grandparents, Herinetta and Uola Edwards; paternal grandparents, Albert and Madeline Richardson; and aunt, Josephine Leday.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.
