It's been a few years since you passed. I sit here and stare at your picture, and I tear up at the sight of it. Being your neice was one of the highlights of my life. Being your brothers granddaughter sent me over the moon. I was not able to successfully walk up and see him in that casket, and I placed much blame on myself for not calling him sooner just to hear his voice. It shouldn't have mattered where I was or how much I was trying to live. My grandfather was dying and I wasn't there, and I didn't call. Auntie to see you in that casket was going to be like ripping open an old bandaid and creating a new wound at the same time. I regret not going to your funeral. Honestly I just couldn't handle the pain. So I supported the person I knew loved you from the bottom of her heart instead as my way of being there. I love you and your twin. I'm sorry for not coming. Maybe this is my way to let go of the regret, and hopefully I'll see you in heaven. I love you so much. I promise I'm not walking outside with no shoes on or without a coat lol. 🩶 love you nana

Mother Cole was just a real woman of God who kept it real when I found out the news I was immediately heartbroken she was a mother to me and I will always remember her for her steadfast love for family and friends!

I called her mommy because she knew everything about me and knew when something wasn't right. I'm going to miss her. My condolences to the family.
