We grieve with Veronica and family on this sad occasion. Wasdon provided a living example of humility, dedication, and professionalism that others sought to emulate. His legacy lives on among the many students he mentored and among the colleagues with whom he worked, and all who knew him are diminished by his loss. We are thankful that he passed our way.

Wasdon was a Treasured Friend that I have know for over 50 years. We shared a lived a Commitment to ABAC, where he was instrumental in developing Minority Programs & I Served as Predicent of The ABC Foundation for one year, & also Served as President of ABAC LLC, That was instrumental, along with Board of Regents RE Chairman, John Hunt, & Mike Volmer The ABAC President at the Time, with the building Of ABAC Place & ABAC Lakeside Housing. Wasdon was completely Dedicated to his family, & was an Admired Board Member of Southwell Hospital & Synovus Bank. I had Lunch with Wasdon On several occasions, & he Was always very insightful into Projects going on in South Tifton. He always put His entire effort into any Endeavor he undertook. I was Very saddened to Learn that My Dear Friend Would no longer be available to have lunch with Me or brighten my day with his Positive, insightful Attitude!!!

Wasdon Graydon, Jr. was my student, colleague, and friend for more than thirty years at ABAC. As his faculty advisor, I saw in him quickly a commitment, a curiosity, a need to know and understand, and the strength and compassion to seek goodness and truth. We shared a passion for history, and I remember so many conversations through the years in which we debated and questioned one another and those are precious memories. He was my student and advisee in the beginning, and I watched him grow striving hard to be all that he longed to be and expanding his vision. He lived a life that demonstrated that his quest was not in vain, and, by example and a gentle strength he became a major contributor to Tifton, Tift County, and ABAC, not just a colleague. He always wanted to make things better. He love his work. He loved the community and county that he served. He loved his family. He loved his country. He loved God. He saw the best in others. He was a man of character and integrity, who always put the right above the convenient. He was a Christian gentleman in the finest sense. I am proud to have known Wasdon and Veronica and their family, and thankful for all the ways they've built a legacy in this community. I've spent these past few days remembering, cherishing every thought and thankful that all that Wasdon taught me, his teacher. He made his mark, and he will be remembered.

My deepest sympathy for Wasdon's family. My father Dr. Tom Milam hired Wasdon many years ago at ABAC in the Political Science Division to write grants for ABAC. He helped start the Police Academy at ABAC with one of many contributions at ABAC. A life well done young man. He is now under God's watch for sure.

Wasdon was my friend. Wasdon was a great listener. We discussed many issues over the years and Wasdon always gave me sound advice and guidance. We also shared many laughs and good times. When I think of Wasdon, I think of one of those big columns that hold up a building - standing there tall, strong, steadfast, resolute. Like a column that one often leans on without always fully appreciating its support, Wasdon was that for me. Leah and I send our thoughts and prayers to Veronica and all of the Graydon family. A man on a mission

The horizon narrows, the goal is clear, no room for doubt, no space for fear. With steady gaze and purpose deep, promises made are promises to keep.

Past failures fade like morning mist, upon this path, I must persist. The world may sway, the winds may blow, but I know exactly where I go.

Through silent nights and trails long, the inner voice grows deep and strong. A man of action focused, true, the mission comes before all new.

Every step, a conscience stride, with nothing left for me to hide. Eyes on the prize, I cannot bend.Until I reach the journey's end. Wasdon's mission was not only for his family, but for this community as well. Thank you Wasdon for not only opening doors of opportunity for countless individuals, but for holding them open for years to come. Now, rest easy, knowing your legacy will continue to inspire us. I worked with Wasdon for many years: when he was a County Commissioner, in his position at ABAC, when we both served on the Synovus bank Board, and when he served on the Board of Directors at Tift Regional Medical Center. Truly one of the most honorable and trusted persons I have ever known. We talked often, about hospital issues, family, current events, our views of the world. We will miss him. We love him and all he stood for.
