Obituary For Bonita Elaine Smitherman-Bynum
Funeral service for Bonita Elaine Smitherman Bynum, who peacefully took her rest on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Riverview Hospital in the presence of her husband and two daughters, will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Ft. Payne, AL. Interment will be at Mt Lebanon Cemetery. Rev. Irvin Cedric Williams, Officiating.
Bonita was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carrie B. Ragland.
Those left to cherish her precious memories are: her husband of 44 years, Rev. Albert Bynum; her two daughters, Tamala Bynum and Crystal Bynum; son, Brandon Southerlin; grandson, Antonio Perkins, Jr.; sisters, Deborah Prier, Linda Luker, Reba Smitherman, Stephanie (Lewis) Groce, and Mary (Melvin) Britton; brother, Efrem Smitherman; nieces, Bridgett Smitherman, Ava Smitherman, Tasha Smitherman, Karen Luker, Tara Luker, Whitley Crocton, Kandice Smitherman, Vareesha Britton, Area Britton; nephews, Courtney Ragland and Royce Smitherman; best friend, Mary (John) Scissum; a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, beloved relatives and dear friends too numerous to name.
