Mr. Frederick L. Edwards 68, of Gadsden, departed this life on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Prayers and sincere sympathy for family and friends.
Frederick Lamont Edwards was born July 30, 1954, in Gadsden, AL to Winnie Ann and John Alex Edwards. At an early age, Frederick joined the Antioch Baptist Church in East Gadsden, AL, under the leadership of Rev. H.J. Hoyt.
Frederick graduated from Carver High School in 1972. He married Shelia Glasby and to this union, one son, Darrell D. Edwards was born. He departed this life on November 3, 2022, at the Gadsden Regional Hospital. Frederick was preceded in death by, his: mother, Winnie Ann Edwards; father, John A. Edwards; grandmother, Charlotte Kelley and brother, Michael W. Edwards.
He leaves to celebrate his memories, his: son, Darrell D. Edwards; grandson, Jeremiah Sutton; sister, Cynthia Edwards Smith (James) of Houston, TX; nephew, James Smith, II of Richmond, VA (U.S. Army); niece, Zariyah Smith of Dallas, TX; longtime companion, Hannah Curry and a host of family and friends.
