With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Mr. Mario Rione Smith of Anniston, AL.
Mario Rione Smith was born to the parentage of the late Ernest Collins and Brenda Gail Smith on Oct 10, 1976, in Anniston, AL.
Mario professed Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Ohatchee and attended Weaver High School. Mario found joy in cooking for his family and friends. An avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan, he cheered the team on with passion every game.
On January 3, 2026, Mario entered eternal rest at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL.
Mario leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Karen Smith of Anniston, Al; children, Jasmine, Raquan, Quinterious, Tyree, Mason, Destiny, Genesis, Zakaden, and Zyah; bonus children, Jaqueta, Naisha (Wayne), Aisha, Taisha, Devron, DiโQuan, and Andrea; sister, Ceritha (Demetrious) Campbell; nephews, Cyree & Zachery; special brother-in-law, Joshua (Kennita) Miller; special aunt, Gloria Foster; favorite uncle, Timothy (Stacy) Smith; 18 grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Faith Baptist Church - 821 W. 11th Street - Anniston, AL 36201. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
INTERMENT: Ohatchee First Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery - 265 Jericho Trail - Ohatchee, AL 36271
